A letter from the President Hello! My name is Kayla Tapia and I am the President of the Lovely Lambda Chapter this semester! I am a senior majoring in Computer Science with an emphasis in Software Engineering. I was initiated Spring 2018 with the Alpha Mu class.
The Lambda Chapter was founded at Arizona State University on December 4th, 1994 and this year we will be celebrating our chapter’s 25th anniversary! Our chapter is made up of women of many different backgrounds and cultures, and we welcome and celebrate diversity in our sorority. As a chapter, we are committed to serving our community and making an impact. Each semester we dedicate our time to service events in collaboration with nonprofit organizations across the valley as well as our fellow Greek organizations. My favorite service event so far has been Fade and Friends - an event, in collaboration with Tau Psi Omega, where we provided free haircuts and care packages to those impacted by homelessness in Downtown Phoenix.
When I joined Kappa Delta Chi as a sophomore I was looking for a home away from home. This sorority has given me that and so much more. I gained an incredible network of sisters who guide, support, and encourage each other to achieve both academic and professional success. I am excited to take on the role as president of this wonderful chapter and give back to my sisters who have helped me become the leader I am today.
Thank you for visiting our site and feel free to reach out to me or any other sister if you have any questions or comments!
